data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>En un contexto regional marcado por el crecimiento y la modernizaci\u00f3n de las capacidades militares, Argentina se suma a la lista de operadores hist\u00f3ricos del F-16. En la d\u00e9cada de 1980, Venezuela lider\u00f3 el primer proceso de adquisici\u00f3n de cazas F-16A\/B Bloque 15 Fighting Falcon de fabricaci\u00f3n estadounidense; su programa Peace Delta especific\u00f3 la integraci\u00f3n de 24 cazas multifunci\u00f3n (18 monoplazas modelo A y 6 biplazas modelo B), entregados formalmente entre 1983 y 1985. Durante la primera d\u00e9cada del siglo XXI, Chile lanz\u00f3 el programa Peace Puma para reemplazar su flota de Dassault Mirage, adquiriendo 10 aviones F-16 Bloque 50+ (6 monoplazas modelo C y 4 biplazas modelo D) de Estados Unidos y 36 unidades Block 15 MLU de segunda mano, anteriormente operadas por la Real Fuerza A\u00e9rea de los Pa\u00edses Bajos; su recepci\u00f3n y entrada en servicio activo tuvo lugar entre 2006 y 2011.<\/p><p>Los Mirage (IIIEA\/DA-V-Finger\/Dagger), hist\u00f3ricos cazabombarderos adquiridos por la FAA a finales de la d\u00e9cada de 1970, fueron retirados del servicio sin un proyecto formal de reemplazo. Su retiro en 2015 marc\u00f3 un punto de inflexi\u00f3n en la defensa a\u00e9rea argentina: tras m\u00e1s de tres d\u00e9cadas de servicio activo y enfrentando serias limitaciones log\u00edsticas e industriales, se reactiv\u00f3 la necesidad de seleccionar un sucesor inminente. Al igual que su pa\u00eds vecino, Argentina proyect\u00f3 varios planes prospectivos para la adquisici\u00f3n de nuevas capacidades supers\u00f3nicas, sin el respaldo pol\u00edtico necesario para avanzar. Al final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, en medio de decisivos cambios geopol\u00edticos y econ\u00f3micos, Am\u00e9rica Latina estableci\u00f3 par\u00e1metros comunes para la defensa a\u00e9rea regional utilizando tecnolog\u00edas de vanguardia de la \u00e9poca: los interceptores y los aviones de combate marcaron el comienzo de la \"era de los aviones a reacci\u00f3n\", lo que permiti\u00f3 a los pa\u00edses latinoamericanos equipar sus fuerzas a\u00e9reas con los instrumentos de ataque y disuasi\u00f3n de las grandes potencias mundiales.\u00b9<\/p><p>Considerando los avances tecnol\u00f3gicos, el F-16 sigue siendo un pilar fundamental de las flotas a\u00e9reas en los cinco continentes. Su capacidad de interceptaci\u00f3n, velocidad y maniobrabilidad garantizan la eficiencia en misiones de ataque y combate a\u00e9reo. Su alcance operativo alcanza las 1740 millas n\u00e1uticas, con capacidad para transportar bombas, tanques de combustible externos o misiles AIM-120 AMRAAM, adem\u00e1s de un sistema de armas modular capaz de integrar m\u00f3dulos de contramedidas electr\u00f3nicas, misiles y munici\u00f3n convencional.<\/p><p>Los aviones F-16A\/B Fighting Falcon Bloque 10, las primeras unidades en llegar a suelo argentino, forman parte del lote inicial de producci\u00f3n de principios de la d\u00e9cada de 1980. En comparaci\u00f3n con su predecesor, el Bloque 5, cada caza presenta mejoras internas y actualizaciones en avi\u00f3nica y radar, adem\u00e1s de otras mejoras en la eficiencia operativa aire-aire y aire-tierra. The Peace Condor program represents an unprecedented industrial, technological, and cultural shift in the history of national defense: Argentina is qualitatively and quantitatively restoring its interception and air combat capabilities for the protection of its airspace. F-16 AM &#8211; Fuerza A\u00e9rea Argentina.- Within a regional context marked by the growth and modernization of military capabilities, Argentina joins the list of historic F-16 operators. In the 1980s, Venezuela led the first procurement and acquisition process of U.S.-made F-16A\/B Block 15 Fighting Falcons; its Peace Delta program specified the integration of 24 multirole fighters\u201418 single-seat A models and 6 two-seat B models\u2014formally delivered between 1983 and 1985. During the first decade of the 21st century, Chile launched the Peace Puma program to replace its Dassault Mirage fleet, acquiring 10 F-16 Block 50+ aircraft (6 single-seat C and 4 two-seat D) from the United States and 36 second-hand Block 15 MLU units previously operated by the Royal Netherlands Air Force; their reception and entry into active service took place between 2006 and 2011. The Mirage (IIIEA\/DA-V-Finger\/Dagger), historic fighter-bombers acquired by the FAA in the late 1970s, were withdrawn from service without a formal replacement project. At the end of the Second World War, amid decisive geopolitical and economic changes, Latin America established common parameters for regional air defense using state-of-the-art technologies of the time: interceptors and jet fighters ushered in the \u201cjet age,\u201d enabling Latin American countries to equip their air forces with the instruments of attack and deterrence of the world\u2019s great powers.\u00b9 Considering technological advances, the F-16 continues to be a fundamental pillar of air fleets across all five continents. Its interception capability, speed, and maneuverability ensure efficiency in strike and air combat missions. Its operational range extends to 1,740 nautical miles, with the ability to carry bombs, external fuel tanks, or AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles, in addition to a modular weapons system capable of integrating electronic countermeasure pods, missiles, and conventional munitions. The F-16A\/B Fighting Falcon Block 10 aircraft\u2014the first units to arrive on Argentine soil\u2014are part of the initial production batch from the early 1980s. Compared to their predecessor, the Block 5, each fighter features internal improvements and upgrades in avionics and radar, along with other enhancements to air-to-air and air-to-ground operational efficiency. The forthcoming aircraft, belonging to the Block 15 MLU, incorporate operational standards comparable to those of the F-16C\/D Block 50\/52, modernized through the Mid-Life Update (MLU) program to integrate advanced radar systems and greater compatibility with current technological systems. F-16 AM\/BM and an USAF KC-135.- Its incorporation into the Argentine Air Force between 2025 and 2028 marks historic milestones with regional impact. Formally, the country regains its supersonic capabilities for the protection and safeguarding of national interests throughout its territory. In accordance with commonly established standards in Latin America, Argentina is rebuilding its fleet to balance the distribution of air resources on a regional scale. Brazil leads the subregional ranking of supersonic air strike capabilities by a wide margin, with more than 170 combat aircraft by 2025, including the F-5 Tiger II, the AMX (in the process of being decommissioned) and the J-39E Gripen (in the process of being incorporated), followed by Chile (80 combat aircraft), Venezuela (79), and Colombia (62). The industrial and logistical ecosystem surrounding the F-16 forced Argentina to adhere to the highest international standards for its operation in national airspace. Various milestones in Western aeronautical engineering set necessary precedents in national doctrine, driving unprecedented technological and academic advancement. With a view to the national and international training of future Fighting Falcon pilots, Argentina actively promoted the logistics for the construction and maintenance of training simulators such as the DART (Deployable Advanced Readiness Trainer), operating systems such as ILIAS, and training programmes at US and Danish facilities. At the bases that housed the fighters, such as the R\u00edo Cuarto Material Area (ARMACUAR) and the VI Air Brigade in Tandil, repair and reconstruction work was carried out on runways, hangars, taxiways, avionics, and safety systems. The arrival of the F-16s in Argentina rebalances the regional power balance without undermining the sense of equilibrium that has been collectively built. In the absence of a hypothesis of interstate conflict, competition is moderated by cooperation in a context where the relative gains for the region are minimal compared to the absolute gains for the South American country.
